Please join the Greater Los Angeles Chapter of Women in Defense, A National Securit Organization and the National Defense Industrial Association for a free networking reception featuring Peggy Berry, Corporate Director of Supplier Management at AVCORP. Peggy’s remarks will be focused on “How Can I Have My Voice Heard?”
After Peggy’s remarks the event will offer refreshments and the opportunity to mix and mingle with men and women working in the local aerospace and defense community.
About the speaker:
Peggy Berry is currently the corporate director of Supplier Management at Avcorp where she is responsible for the supply chain including procurement, planning/scheduling, and the warehouse. Prior to joining Avcorp, Peggy was an instructor at California State University – Long Beach and taught undergraduate Supply Chain, Quality and Production Planning courses as well as MBA classes in Management and Global Supply Chain.
Peggy started her aerospace career at McDonnell Douglas in Material Requirements Planning (MRP) then spent two years in Engineering as a senior manager. She was promoted to director of Quality Processes and after four years she joined Product Support as director of Spares Operations. After the Boeing/McDonnell Douglas merger, she moved to the Aircraft & Missiles division as Director of Material Management for the C-17. She then moved to Networks & Space where she was the director of Supplier Management of C3 Networks and the site lead for Anaheim and Huntington Beach Supplier Management. She then served as Director of Supplier Management where she had leadership responsibility for the C-17 supply chain and was also accountable for Supplier Management of the Long Beach Site.
Before joining Boeing, Peggy attended Bowling Green State University, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Production Operations and Procurement Material Management and an MBA with a concentration in Management Information Systems. Peggy taught Operations Research at Bowling Green State University after graduation.
